For this discussion board, choose one of the strategies from the readings or another one you may have foundin any other professional readingand discuss the following:

1. What is the strategy and describe it. Make sure what you list is a specific strategy, not a category. For example, "behavioral management" is NOT a strategy. That is a category. A strategy is a specific behavior or technique that can be implemented in a classroom by a teacher. Also, make sure that the strategy you choose makes sense for the characteristics discussed in the readings for a child with ADD/ADHD.

2. What age group would this strategy work best for-young children (preschool- Kindergarten), elementary grades (grades 1-5), or secondary grades (grades 7-12). Give at least 1 reason why this is an appropriate strategy for the age group you chose. Choose one grade band only

3. This strategy is actually an accommodation which can be used to more effectively include a child with ADD in an included classed. Therefore, Is this strategy (accommodation) primarily an instructional strategy (instructional environment), one for managing the physical environment of the classroom, or one for addressing the social/emotional environment? Choose only one environment and give at least 2 reasons why this is an appropriate accommodation for addressing issues within that particular environment.

4. Why is this strategy appropriate for a child with ADHD/ADD? Provide at least 2 specific reasons, using the language and concepts from this module.

5.Provide the citation in apa format for the strategy you choose. If you do not choose a professional source to use, then you will not receive any credit for this DB. If you do not put the reference in proper apa format then you will not receive any credit for this DB.
