Introduction
This paper will compare and contrast CBT with the chosen modality psychodynamic therapy. Initially it will be discussed about both the topic individually and
then the differences will be pointed out. Further, it will be highlighted the practical and philosophical perspective of other therapies in reference to the differences and similarities of the chosen modality and CBT. Before that, each therapy has been discussed separately. Lastly, the paper is concluded by giving a brief summary.
Comparison between CBT and Psychotherapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) teaches people how to recognise and alter distressing or harmful thinking patterns that affect their behaviours and emotions. Anxiety, emotional issues and despair can all be exacerbated by these habitual negative ideas (Murphy, Calugi, Cooper & Dalle Grave, 2020). CBT replaces these ideas and challenges by identifying with more realistic, reasonable ones.
