The beliefs, attitudes, values and behavior shared and used by employees at work
on daily basis is known as organizational culture. It helps to determine how one take himself as part of organization, how they understand business and how they describe where they work. There are several factors that contribute to the organizational culture. These includes Mission, Values, Structure, Risk taking, Autonomy, Location, size, layout of organization, whole person emphasis, identity and history.
Issues assisting organizational culture in future-
In future of work, the workforce will have digitalization, gender equality, more flexibility in working hours will be there along with empowering workers to take greater responsibility. The issues faced by employees will be no or less physical interaction leading to weaker understanding of each other as well as organization. Lack of employee engagement, lack of psychological safety, lack of mindfulness at workplace, inequality among employees etc are some other issues that will be faced due to changing organizational culture.
