A company in Manhattan still keeps to the traditional mailing approaches even though the nature of their business strictly involves confidential documents that need to be sent to clients. Tell this Manhattan company why you think their messages can be securely sent to clients using e-mail.

ASSIGNMENT
A directory service is a system that stores and organizes data about a system's resources and makes that data readily available via a network or piece of software. It's a way of associating labels with numerical values. Finding what you need is made simple and quick with the help of a directory service. Sharing and distribution are fundamental characteristics of networks. The nodes
in the network share the resources among themselves. Using a directory service can provide the framework necessary to discover, control, and coordinate all of those assets. Directory service is a crucial part of any Networked Operating System. Directories are helpful for implementing system security and enabling secure access to system resources.
Directory services can be implemented in a variety of ways, and they can use a wide range of protocols. Microsoft's Active Directory, the directory service for Windows Server, and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) are all examples of directory services that adhere to industry standards. (Cox, 2001)
Customers can use a directory when while creating a logical structure for namespaces:
A flat namespace is what most file systems use, but a directory service offers a hierarchical one. Several positive outcomes can be attained with its use. Duplicate names can be avoided in hierarchical namespaces. It provides a systematic arrangement of available means. Hierarchical namespaces make it simple to search for and access the specific data you need. A study by (Sheresh & Sheresh, 2001).
Availability:
Faster query responses and the ability to handle a high volume of requests are two of the many benefits offered by directory services.
Scalability
Scalability is not a problem for directory services. When something is removed from a system or network, or when something new is introduced, this is known as a resource change. The modification is reflected in the directory without affecting the overall structure. According to a study (Sheresh & Sheresh, 2001),
Reliability
Partitioning and redundant information are essential to directory services. It uses multiple servers to store various partitions. Sometimes identical partitions will be spread across multiple servers. Therefore, the entire system will not crash if a single component fails. The directory service might be down, but only temporarily.
Security
Secured access to resources is made possible by directory services. It facilitates the effective deployment of authentication and access control mechanisms. (Cox, 2001)
LDAP
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol is the abbreviation for this system. It's a collection of protocols and guidelines for using directory services to find information. The X.500 standard for distributed directory services is the foundation for this. Overall, LDAP is simpler than X.500. LDAP and X.500 do not have the same functionality. In contrast to LDAP, X.500 does not work with TCP/IP. Since LDAP is not exclusive to any one company, it can be used with any directory service, including electronic mail providers. The use of public-key cryptography for security is facilitated. Based on research by (Howes, Smith, & Good, 2013)
OpenLDAP is one free and publicly available LDAP server software. RFC 4511 contains the current version 3 of the LDAP specification. (J., 2006)
A Brief Introduction to Email Security
These days, one of the most significant threats that businesses face is the possibility that their confidential information may become public knowledge as a result of stolen emails or lost company documents. These days, businesses do not send confidential information over the mail; rather, they rely on more advanced and safe forms of technology. Additionally, since the frequency of documented cases involving email hacking and the subsequent revelation of sensitive corporate data continues to climb, email security has emerged as a top issue for all businesses. This is because email...
