A primary source of campaign development for communication strategies today must include internet or technological platforms such as social media yet, ensure monitoring of accounts. Social media usage must be followed by a consistent examination of what is being posted and exclude unwanted or negative comments that do not promote integrity. Campaign ethics and risk management strategy is essential no matter the advertising platform. Additionally, other popular sources or platforms would benefit exposure to assist patient growth in the organization include communication through YouTube, Snapchat, and Facebook just to name a few.


Communication uses such as public reporting performance assist to enhance ethical advertising or exposure during health care campaign management (Kelaher, 2019). Dissemination of public reporting performance works toward increasing quality of information utilized and consumers can make safe health plan choices to benefit their needs. Meta-analysis studies showed a significant improvement in promoting health plan selection and an increase of consumer satisfaction in extracting needed health plans. The comparisons were assessed by employee sponsored health plans and government plans such as Medicare or Medicaid subsidiaries. The impact of public reporting and management of sources used to communicate influences or affects market share value.

During these days using social media will be an obvious method to communicate. People are relying more on social networking sites, blogs, and forums to gather knowledge on healthcare. The biggest advantage to using social media is the multiple avenues one can use to share information. Social media is becoming a very popular way for patients and providers to communicate. Many facilities have some sort of social media presence whether it’s a Facebook page or Instagram. There are some concerns such as breaches of patient information, the multitude of unreliable sources and violations of patient-provider boundaries. Even though there are some challenges social media and health care does have some advantages.



Social media helps to promote health education by creating a venue for healthcare organizations and facilities to exchange new observations, studies, health tips and ideas. Another benefit of social media in healthcare is that it helps clinicians create a relationship with the patient. With the emergence of telehealth and telemedicine, people no longer have to wait long hours or travel long distances to get in contact with their provider. Now a patient can ask a question, get an assessment, receive instant feedback from their physician text, email or videoconference. This has greatly improved patient experience by the amount of trust that has been built (Smailhodzic, 2016).

I have observed that traditional communication approach is not being used in any ar
ea of business then what is the purpose of keeping it as a secondary source. I really like the point in which communication to patient through YouTube, Snapchat, and Facebook has been suggested (Nawaz et al. 2017). However, I am not sure how much feasible these platforms are in terms of using for consultation purpose.
