    I choose to interview a team lead at a prominent local hospital named Marie Jones. Marie has a long career in nursing with an experience of over 20 years. She has been taking leadership roles for a decade now. I considered her to be ideal for this interview owing to the fact that she has a good reputation as a nurse leader among her subordinates and also has been inspiring and mentoring young nurses. Marie is involved into a number of projects focused at improving patient care and the projects focused on nurse education. She has a reputation of a leader, who progressively works with the team to foster excellence and innovation in nursing practices. She is a person, whose insights can help learn valuable lessons in leadership and this has solidified my choice further.

    The leadership traits possessed by Marie align with transformational leadership style. As opined by Colins et al. (2020), transformational leadership style refers to the style wherein the leaders inspire and motivate the members of their team while fostering an environment of innovation and collaboration.
