1. MANOVA Question – Dietary Info
There are three available methods to provide dietary information to students: (1) through an
online website; (2) from a nurse; (3) from a pre-recorded video. Thirty-three (33) students were
randomly assigned to evaluate which of the three methods of delivering dietary information is
most superior. The respondents are asked to rank each method based on difficulty, usefulness
and importance, to determine if there is a difference in the modes of presentation.
(a) Conduct a One-Way MANOVA test and interpret and analyse the results. Ensure that you justify your answers.
(b) Test the following assumptions of the MANOVA model and interpret and analyse the results of the test(s) conducted for each assumption.
(i) Absence of multicollinearity.
(ii) Absence of multivariate outliers.
(iii) Multivariate normality.
(iv) Homogeneity of variances.
*Be sure to explain the test(s) that should be conducted for the relevant assumptions.
*Ensure that you explain what should be done if the assumptions are violated.
