DESCRIPTION:
Join us for a presentation and panel discussion on that will help answer the question—“What can
I do with sociology degree?” Led by Jeff Chin, Professor of Sociology at Le Moyne College and
co-chair of the ASA Task Force that produced the monograph The Sociology Major in the
Changing Landscape of Higher Education: Curriculum, Careers, and Online Learning (Pike et al.
2017), the webinar will feature a brief presentation on the benefits that a study of sociology
provides to students as they think about joining the workforce. We will be joined by four current
and former sociology majors to hear how they use their sociological imaginations in their jobs,
internships, and further study.
