1. Introduction
This paper conducts with the economic performance of Nepal and describes the current situation and economic performance of Nepal. However, the paper also compares the economy of Nepal and its paired economy. At the same time, the major economic issues of Nepal are also discussing in this paper for a better understand.
2. Current Economic Situation and Recent Performance of Nepal
It has been found by a through observation that the economic development of Nepal is complicated and is affected by political instability. The financial growth of the country is affected by corruption. However, the GDP of the country has been measured by $29.813 billion nominally. The growth of GDP has been observed at about 8.2%. At the same time, the per capita income of the country has been noticed by $1,048. Nepal has used the series of five years developing the program and it completed nine years of its developing plans. It executed that Nepal is working to develop its financial situation (Poudyal et al. 2019).
Comparing the Economic Performance of Nepal with that of a Paired Economy
The performance of Nepal is not sufficient in the context of financial development in the comparison of its paired economy. It has been noticed that Bangladesh becomes the fastest developing economy all around the world. GDP has been noticed by $2,068 in the year where the GDP growth for Nepal has been recorded about8.2%. GDP has been recorded by 27% in the sector of agriculture where the percentage is recorded by 14.23 % in Bangladesh. Bangladesh scored 33.66% in its industrial sector where Nepal gains 13.5% in its industrial sector.
It executed that the economic situation of the country cannot compete comparatively its paired economy. On the other hand, GDP in the service sector has been increased by 59.5%. However, in this context, its paired economy is not good as compared to that of Nepal (Nnamdi & Eniekezimene, 2018). It has been noticed that 25.2% population has been suffered from poverty and overall 3 % of people are unemployed in Nepal. In the comparison of Nepal, Bangladesh has experienced more than 20% population are suffering from poverty. The rate of inflation in Nepal has been noticed by 5.60% in the year, 2020. On the other hand, balance trade has recorded as 9.3 billion US dollar in the year 2017 (Singh & Nachtnebel, 2016).
