Theprocessof data miningincludedin theaforementionedscenarioto propose for additional cameras, laptops, and telephoneswas(M.U.S.E. n.d.):

1. Understanding the business– identifythescope, needs, purpose, resources, barriers, and budget

2. Data understanding– timing and deliverables, in this case, cameras, additionallaptopsand telephonesare neededimmediatelyto conduct TH;concurrently, the initialdatapullofvisit types will provide a baseline. For example, thecurrentnumberofstratified visit types -offace-to-face(F2F), TH, and telephone.

3. Data preparation–TH applicationplatformsand workflowsusedto be successfulwithcurrentproviders, staff, andpatientpopulation;beginbuilding a report thatshows desired outcomes to stakeholders.

4. Modeling– meetings were held with TH expertsand stakeholdersto educate about THand how it was rolled outin other departments, the technology needed, coding for billing, and buy-in from stakeholders.

5. Evaluation– pullingreports that will show the number of completed F2F, TH and telephone visitsdenoting transition to TH visits. Patient demographicssuchas age, gender, race, and locationcould also displaycharacteristics ofpre-and post-COVID data.

6. Deployment– working with IT to install the cameras, phonesandissuing laptops, ensuring staff education, training, and workflows;showing data trends over a monthly, quarterly, and yearly perioddisplaying the information in staff and/or work meetings, and discussingfeedback, issues, and improvements.

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Comprehensive CancerCenterconducted a studyto analyze changes in volume for video-based telehealth in response to COVID-19. The study also compared appointment data and patient demographics from January 1 to11weeks after theconversion to video visits. The results found an increase in video visits from 7%-18% to 54%-72% between pre- and post- COVID-19 periodsof January 1 to May 31, 2020 (Lonergan, Washington, Branagan, Gleason, Pruthi, Carroll, & Odisho 2020).

Well it’s no secret that if a business wants to be successful in any market today, using updated and new technology is the key. Nearly all hospitals keep records and are able to service their patients using wireless technology. A good example of this is the use of electronic heath records and electronic medical records, aka (EHR and EMR) respectfully. HIPAA requires that all billing be transmitted electronically as well as all patient data be kept on a current EHR system. The benefits of using laptops for data collection are as follows: data transmission can be protected, it is easier to enter and update patient records, and the EHR system also will correct any billing and coding errors.

Computers have transformed modern medicine, streamlining hospital processes for more efficient medical care, and better patient experience. The emergence of computers in hospitals, clinics, health centers, and more has given rise to medical computer carts on wheels to give healthcare staff a mobile computing solution.(scott-clark.com, 2018)

A majority of individuals (84%) are confident their medical records are safe from unauthorized viewing, but have concerns (66%) when health information is electronically exchanged.(healthit.gov, 2019)

1. Data Mining
The notable advances in biotechnology and health sciences have induced a huge production of statistics, inclusive o
f immoderate throughput genetic statistics and scientific data, generated from huge Electronic Health Records (EHRs). To this end, software program of tool getting to know and statistics mining techniques in biosciences is presently, more than ever before, vital in efforts to convert intelligently all available data into precious knowledge (Kavakiotis et al. 2017). The series and assessment of statistics are continuously growing due to the pervasiveness of computing devices. The assessment of such statistics is fostering agencies and contributing beneficially to the society in plenty of one in every of kind fields. However, this storage and drift of in all likelihood sensitive statistics poses extreme privacy concerns. Methods that allow the knowledge extraction from statistics, at the same time as maintaining privacy, are known as privacy-maintaining statistics mining (PPDM) techniques (Mendes & Vilela 2017). Although those technology produce a wealth of statistics, they do now no longer offer any form of analysis, interpretation or extraction of knowledge. At this point, the knowledge regarding Biological Data Mining or in any other case Knowledge Discovery in...
