Answer 1:
Corporate social responsibility:
Corporate social responsibility can be defined as a business model that each and every private organization follows which helps the organization to be accountable on social terms towards itself, the s
hareholders of the company and the general public associated with the company (Corporate Social Responsibility: How it Impacts Business in 2016 | Mondo, 2021). Companies adopt corporate social responsibility by contributing a portion of their profit in the betterment of society and environment in order to take care that the activities of the business are not providing any harm to the society and the environment. It also includes working for the betterment of the society and environment in addition to the day to day activities of the business.
The corporations who take the initiative of corporate social responsibility need to measure the impact that these initiatives have on the environment and different sections of the society and the organization itself. The impact of corporate social responsibility can be measured in various directions like:
· Calculating or analyzing the number of persons who received benefit from the initiative whether directly or in an indirect manner.
· Analyze the awareness spread in the society regarding saving the environment and contributing towards the society.
· Measure the rate of employee satisfaction and retention rate of employees in the organization has increased or not due to good working culture and a sense of feeling that they are working in an organization that is socially responsible.
· Determine the goodwill of the company in the market in terms of social responsibility.
Contribution of ethics to employee commitment and customer satisfaction
Employee commitment is something that comes from within the employees which make them feel that they are ready to sacrifice their personal gains for the benefit of the organization (The Importance of Business Ethics - PHDessay.com, 2021). If an organization has proper ethics followed in the business place and maintains a good working culture for the employees that employees would be motivated to work for such an organization that has its own values and rules. There is simple rule of give and take, the better treatment the company will provide to its employees In return the employees will also perform better for the company.
If a company maintains its focus on providing the goods and services as per needs of the customer and take proper steps to keep its customer satisfied in addition to making profit, then this would attract the customers towards the company and a happy customer is a key to success of any organization. Therefore, by maintaining proper ethics and focusing on customer satisfaction an organization can achieve good heights.
