a. Early Signs and Symptoms of Dementia
The early stages of dementia are complicated to predict due to its prevailing in a large population, the elderly ones and these days; it has been one of the commonest issues, which is affecting a large number of elderly population. Dementia is most often recognised as the instability of intellectual abilities of old person who is not able to carry out his or her social life well.
Early stages of dementia include a clear loss of memory, which is usually not expected from the person who is suffering from it (Rakesh et al. 2017). The case of John can be exemplary in this context. A precise analysis of his condition reveals that he clearly show early symptoms of dementia by nor remembering the places, forgetting his things and most importantly, developing frustration and arguing over unimportant things.
b. Reasons for Reluctance to Seek Direct Help
Under clinical terms and conditions, dementia should be prevented by taking precautions and medications, as per the expert’s advice (Cations et al. 2018). However, not always, this kind of approach is sought in managing dementia. This is related to the failure to identify the condition of dementia in elderly person in family.
