Performance Management
It is the process of managing people in order to perform actions as per the desired goal
Entire gambit of performance appraisal system is to drive constant and continuous enhancement employees as well as improving productivity
Primary objective is to enhance skills and improve the performance of the employees in order to contribute to the objective of the company.
This slide covers what is the essence of performance management in the organization. Essentially, process of managing people in order to perform actions as per the desired goal. Entire gambit of performance appraisal system is to drive constant and continuous enhancement employees as well as improving productivity. Primary objective is to enhance skills and improve the performance of the employees in order to contribute to the objective of the company.

Issues & Limitations of Old PMS
At Upward Elevator, employees used to feel that, both good and poor performance had the same consequences. This essentially meant that employees at Telstar used to think if you work hard at the job, put in the extra effort to go the extra mile it won’t be recognized. On top of that, when they used to compare themselves with the employees who were working just the required, they used to feel there is no point working so hard since the result is same irrespective of the fact how hard you work. Employees had a common feeling of not being recognized for work that they have performed well or had added value to the organization (Wolven, J., 2019). When people used to do a good job, it was not appropriately recognized or not even acknowledged. In other words, morale of the employees at large was low since they were no impetus to do great work.
Limitation of Old PMS in Upward Elevator -There were grave issues and limitations associated with Stack Ranking practice followed by Upward Elevator for Performance Management System (PMS). Observing the behavior of employees and buried facts of the matter, we came with few limitations that were deeply rooted because...
