Evidence based practices are empirical findings in healthcare research, which are particularly helpful in enhancing the skills and performance of the healthcare professionals. Evidence based practices are linked closely to the clinical guidelines because there are certain areas over which, a research procedure takes place (Miller et al, 2018). However, for common understanding of clinical guidelines, the process of EBP applies to certain categories namely, selection of the participants or the limitations of the clinical study. The research has to be in accordance with the provided guidelines because absence of the same may lead to projection of incompetent information. Clinical guidelines, thus, are like the core strength of evidence based practices; as the name suggests, the concept of EBP is based on reviewing and analysing the existing information (Tang et al, 2020).
In addition, clinical guidelines set forth the process of clinical research including EBP with a view to develop precision and accuracy of the research findings. In fact, this is carried out with the perception that clinical researches have to be precise enough to address the research topic (Tang et al, 2020). If not guided well, the studies may deviate from their original purposes. At times, there is possibility of violating the ethical obligations that every clinical study has to include and follow (Dagens et al, 2020). A combination of these two things affects the course of clinical research. Evidence based practices are like the procedures that support this ideology (Tang et al, 2020). Clinical guidelines are also helpful in developing the decision-making power and enhanced skills applied to practice. This is, again, the matter of following the protocols to maintain discipline. Healthcare professionals look positively towards the clinical researches because they help in taking progressive and decisive decisions. They are like products of the quality of the studies included into practice (Miller et al, 2018).
