A Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) can be obtained by writing or contacting a government’s controller or finance director. Most local governments provide the reports at no charge. Moreover, an increasing number of governments make their CAFRs available on the Internet.
Tasks:
Obtain the CAFR for a city, town, or county with a population of 100,000 or more for a government not mentioned in the textbook. Ensure the government has adopted GASB Statement No. 34. Review the CAFR and answer the following questions:
