Introduction
The term CTD is generally associated with the measurement of the physical properties of the water. Here the term CTD stands for the conductivity, temperature and depth. More specifically it can be said that sometimes this CTD device measures the pressure to calculate the depth of the water level. By using a sensor all of those physical properties of the seawater are being measured. The conductivity indicates the property of the transmission of electricity through the water. In the other part by measuring the depth of the sea level the pressure is being measured. The variation of the temperature of the water can also be measured by this device. The salinity of the seawater also can be detected. The impact and the effect of ocean water is a huge matter of concern in the field of oceanology. Hence the necessity of this sensor device is huge in the field of the measurement.
Methods
This CTD is a sensor device generally used to measure the conductivity, temperature, and depth of the seawater. In designing this device various accessories are needed. The first equipment that is needed in the case of making the CTD device is a host. Along with this host all the other accessories are being associated. The whole device is caged under a metal frame and all the real-time data are being collected. In the setup of the device a multi-standard cable has been used to connect all the sensors. There is a junction box available in this part of the setup of the device. All the cables are being connected with this junction box. USB adapter, battery, Bluetooth adapter, sensor devices all are connected to set up the device. All the setup will have to connect with any operating system or computer in case of keeping and tracking the data.
