Benefits of studying online a) Reduce Cost i. Food; make and eat by me. Do not need to buy. ii. Transportation; bus fees, gas, and so on. b) Flexible; can attend the class everywhere. c) Networking Opportunities. i. Able to try the new things/technology ii. Chance to use the network more than usual iii. New experience to learn in new normal 2. Challenge of studying online a) Technical Issues i. Device problem; Headphone, Microphone, and so on. ii. Might have some responsibilities to do; work, take care their brothers or sisters, even their grandparents. 3. Effect to Professors 1. Benefits of Teaching online a) Efficiency; professors be able to arrange the teaching plan more stylish, and some more news tools/software in online teaching. i. Kahoot; to reviews the lesson ii. Lockdown Browsers; while testing have to open camera. It can prevent from cheating. iii. Power point; including the professor sound that explain the content in slide. b) Convenience and flexibility; professors can teach anywhere just have access to the Internet and have more flexibility in teaching during normal class times. i. Teaching from home ii. Conference while traveling somewhere 2. Challenge of Teaching online a) A facilitating discussion; not as easy to post a question and expecting all students to generate responses. b) Technical difficulties; some professors might proficient when it comes to tackling unfamiliar software. i. Lockdown Browsers; if professors want to use, they need to register something which might be complicated for somebody. c) Having to pay extra more than usual. i. Have to pay more utilities (water, electricity) ii. Might pay for device. iii. Pay for more internet speeds to get a stable connection during class C. Effect to school 1. There is an increase in online learning through a digital platform such as Zoom, Microsoft Team, etc. Online learning is beneficial since it enables students to keep information and saves time. Students and teachers interact with each other on the virtual platform to asking questions that are related to their classwork. Students get varied information from many educational online classes. More information leads to increase capacity to know more about a particular subject. Online learning has brought new methods used in education hence many institutions are likely to incorporate it in their normal school curriculum. Colleges and universities have organized among themselves and provided teaching programs that have ensured learning to continue as normal. Online learning has proven convenient since there is access to more information that can be useful in academic work. It has also led to low attendance by the students who cannot get access to the internet or laptops. This disadvantaged student's performances may be affected in the long run since as their colleagues were being taught, they were not able to access laptops (Baker,2020). Though some schools with the help of the government have been providing learning equipment to disadvantaged students, there are still concerns that not every student will have access to laptops and internet services during that the pandemic. There has been increasing use of technology before and after the COVID-19 Pandemic. Online learning through platforms such as Zoom has been on the rise and is being adopted globally during the pandemic. According to Cathy & Farah (2020), the global education technology investments in 2019 were US$18.66 billion with the overall market for online education estimated at $350 billion by 2025. These statistics show that in the near future, it is probable that online education will be a major component in schools' education globally.
