The identity theory of Mind and Brain, which was raised during the mid-twentieth century states that mental on goings is not related with the materialistic on goings in the brain. The processes and states of mind are similar but not identical to the processes and states of the brain. This theory propounds and claims that mind and brain, no matter how able to be demarcated and differentiated logically, but in reality they are distinct ad unalike countenance and impression of one single reality, which is material.
The identity theory of mind and brain is the declaration and submission that the events or processes of mental states are alike to the events and processes of brain state. This type of theory explains that mental states, events, or processes are just the physical states while the theory of token identity suggests that the tokens of mental state are alike of physical tokens. Throughout so many years, the identity theory of mid and brain has been understood successively and effectively, as including an accidental and fortuitous relation to the identity and then relation to the subsequence obligatory identity (Heil, 2013).
