Human resource management can be called as the most important function for every organization. In order for implementing changes and motivating the workforce, we have to use HRM concepts and techniques. As per the report of Business Insider (2016), most of the international business organizati
ons considered HRM as an effective tool for managing the operational and functional issues faced by the organization. In this paper, we are analyzing the application of human resource management (HRM) functions that help the employees and management for attaining the goals. The company Air New Zealand started in the year of 1940. Christopher Luxon is the current CEO of the company and the headquarters of the company is situated in Auckland.

2.1 a). HRM roles used by the Air New Zealand uses to achieve the outcomes of the organization.
Administrative Roles
Administrative role of HR in Air New Zealand is mainly concerned with recording the information about the employees and updating the internal databases based on the changes. It helped the employees for managing the HR documents and information in a productive way.
Operational Roles
Operational HR in Air New Zealand helped the employees for meeting their day to day objectives. It also helped them for identifying the major factors affect their performance level. Operational roles also help the company for creating budgets and it also helps for developing policies and objectives for attaining the strategic objectives of the organization.
Strategic Roles
Strategic roles always help the company for motivating the employees and also for managing the issues faced by the employees in a productive way. While analyzing the case of Air New Zealand we can understand that the strategic role played by the company highly helped for attaining the goals and objectives of the organization. The company also providing skill oriented training and development programs to the employees for sharpening their skills and abilities. The training provided by the company also highly helpful for the company to reduce the wastages and improve the efficiency of the employees.

The company using internal and external methods for selecting the best talents. We know the fact that the airlines required quality staff for managing the operations in a productive way. While analyzing the recruitment and selection system in Air New Zealand we can understand they are following a fair and equitable system that helps the company for attaining the goals and objectives.
Orientation
The company is also giving orientation to the new employees, it helps the employees for understanding the working style of the company
Training and Development
According to the words of Jodie King (2016) Head of HR in Air New Zealand, training and development practices are highly helpful for motivating the employees in a productive way. The company is also providing multi-cultural training to the employees for improving their skills and abilities.
Performance Appraisal
The company is different methods for evaluating the performance of the employees. Performance appraisal policies are highly helpful for improving the performance level of the employees.
