As the HR Manager of Woolworths Supermarkets, a division of Woolworths Group (Corporation), you are required to write a comprehensive and well-written job description to advertise for the position of “General manager” in Woolworths Head Office. Write a 700-word report, excluding references and appendix. In this report, you are required to perform the following tasks:
1.About Us:
Briefly describe the background information (strategic context) of the organisation. This information should be brief and relevant to the discussion of your assignment and thus may include ownership, history, size, business scope, major products/services, industry environment, and organisation culture.
2.About the Role:
Describe fully the role Based on H. Mintzberg’s research (Informational, Interpersonal, Decisional), and then explain how four functions of management can help general manager to effectively cope with current challenges of the workplace, including challenges of government, business, and employees.
3.About You: Describe what managerial and general skills/mindset a potential applicant needs to be considered applicable for this position.
