Introduction
A significant growth has been observed in the hospitality and tourism industry of Australia in past few years. As suggested by Treuren, Manmohan and Vishnu (2019) the interests of customers in a hotel is based on the scenic location of the hotel along with good maintenance and premium quality services. Here we shall discuss about The Park Hyatt, Sydney. The hotel has gra
ed the attention of tourists for its easily accessible and scenic location. The hotel is situated at Sydney ha
or between Sydney Opera House and Ha
our Bridge.
The business level strategy of the hotel provides value to customers and helps this five star hotel to gain competitive advantage over its customers. Even with good business level strategies the issue of extensive competition in the market is a major area of concern for this hotel business. It is important that management of The Park Hyatt should thoroughly study the market to develop strategies of pricing, marketing and products or services offered to satisfy the customers. Satisfaction of customers is the ultimate aim of a good business strategy.
Findings Considering Business Level Strategies of the Park Hyatt
The scope of business level strategies is extensive but here we shall consider the five most important business level strategies this five star hotel should focus on to stay competitive in the market. As stated by González-Rodríguez et al., (2018) business level strategies are closely linked to the performance of hotels. Therefore, to improve the performance of the hotel it is critical to improve the business level strategies.
Cost Leadership
Cost leadership simply means offering the best price for the product or services provided by Park Hyatt. In this world of tough competition price of the product or service is one of the key factors to attract customers. It is important to target a
oad market and offer the lowest possible price for the best services so that more and more customers could be attracted to the hotel. This shall also help to build customer loyalty and engagement. Your stay at Park Hyatt will cost you $860 per night for one king sized bedroom and $ 1,310 per night for your deluxe and luxury stay at the hotel. In the opinion of Delmas and Pekovic (2015) it is important for the organisation to use its resources efficiently as well as to improve its internal processes so that Park Hyatt can be a cot leader in the market.
Differentiation of the
and and product
In this competitive business world it is necessary to distinguish the product or service offered by Park Hyatt from its competitors in the market. Park...
