1. Introduction
People are getting a number of buying alternatives irrespective to the nature of the product due to advancement of the industry. It is often observed that customers went into a dilemma while choosing products because they fail to identify dissimilarities. This study is based on identifying several factors involved with buying decision among customers who have recently bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
2. Purpose of the study
Psychology of customers is highly complicated. In other words, it is very difficult to understand the factor involved with buying decision. Sometimes it is found that they buy products as per their necessities or without putting any effort to purchase decision. However, a researcher has argued, a customer does not pay attention to buying decision whenever the price of the product is low (Jadhav and Khanna, 2016). Therefore, this study is taken under consideration to identify emotional and psychological factors involved with customers when they bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 4. The researcher has focused on three different dimensions of each individual through this study. Those dimensions are personal perception, the attitude of buyers and motivation of the buyer's that led to select an alternative. Further discussion will reveal the mechanism involved with questionnaire design and analysis of the collected data.
3. Design of the questionnaire
In the questionnaire, researcher has asked ten different types of questions to all 15 respondents. Out of 10 questions, one question was completely open-ended which is ‘the first name of the respondent'. Next two questions are asked about demographic aspects of respondents. Two demographic aspects that have been asked in the survey are ‘gender’ and ‘household income’. Remaining all seven questions were related to the purchase decision of the participants. For the Researcher has used closed-ended questions in order to gain information related to buying decision of each individual.
4. Administration process
In order to design the questionnaire, a web-based survey has been taken into consideration that is called ‘SurveyMonkey.com'. Researcher has registered on that website, and then based on three different psychological aspects of a customer each question has been designed.
5. Selection of participants
In order to gain information related to buying decision of Surface Pro 4, researcher required to get the contact of verified buyers. In order to gain a customer's database researcher has visited several Microsoft stores for getting customer details. Due to data confidentiality, most of the store manager did not disclose the customer's contact. Still, the researcher has managed to get email IDs of 15 customers who have recently bought a Microsoft Surface Pro 4. On that official email-id, researcher has sent the questionnaire link in...
