Woolworths Group Limited is a top Australian company with the extensive retail businesses in New Zealand and Australia. The company is Australia's second largest revenue company, second only to Perth's r
etail group Wesfarmers, and is New Zealand's second largest company. In addition, Woolworths Group is Australia's largest takeaway alcohol retailer, Australia's biggest hotel and gaming poker machine operator, and world's 19th largest retailer in 2008. Equity, diversification and inclusive programs are being prepared for Woolworth’s retail supermarket giant. The retail giant faces some challenges in hiring employees and in ways that suppliers deal with environmental responsibilities. Therefore, it is necessary to propose an appropriate fair, diverse and inclusive mission statement, trying to make the supermarket giants change their face and regain their shrinking glory. After Aldi entered the Australian supermarket industry, Woolworth and Coles lost a large share of the market. Before entering Aldi, the two supermarkets controlled more than 80% of the market. The two rely mainly on price collusion to block other participants. Therefore, the mission statement will provide Woolworths with another opportunity to shine in the industry.
Overview of Woolworths
Woolworths is the largest supermarket chain in Australia. Woolworths operates 995 stores in Australia and depends on 115,000 team members in the stores, support offices and distribution centers to make available to our consumers with the quality service, value, convenience, and range (Allen, Dawson, Wheatley & White, 2007). The Woolworths prides itself on operating closely with the Australian farmers and growers to guarantee the best products for our buyers purchasing 96 percent of fresh vegetables and fruits and 100 percent of fresh meat from the Australian growers and farmers. This makes the Woolworth Australia’s fresh food person. As one of Australia's most creative retailers, Woolworths comprehends that customers are looking for novel and simple ways to shop. Customers can use the Woolworths supermarket app to shop on a comfortable computer at home and on the way home from work. The best part is that their groceries can be sent directly to the kitchen bench. Woolworths is an Australian company founded in 1924 (Berry & Sam, 2013). The company is operated by Country Road and Woolworths as a subsidiary. It works with the joint venture's Woolworths Financial Services. The company is the market leader in the markets in which it operates. It also has become Australia's leading domestic online retailer. However, the company's directors acknowledged significant changes in the industry's competition and customer behavior in the market. Woolworths has a unique platform that enables it to serve more than 29 million buyers per week (Bleijenbergh, Peters & Poutsma, 2010). The Bella Vista-based company controls more than 70% of Australia's markets. In addition to groceries, the retail giant also sells other goods such as stationery and groceries. In Australia, the retail giant operates 980 stores. Woolworth has the ability to work closely with farmers to provide the best products for the market. It purchased 96% of farmers' fresh produce and 100 percent of fresh meat from the farmers of Australia.
Theory and Practice
Equity
Equity refers to the fairness of the treatment, opportunity, access, and promotion of everyone working in an organization. Standing for equity requires the identification and elimination of barriers that hinder the full participation of historically underrepresented and underserved groups and individuals (Davidson, Simon, Woods & Griffin, 2009). Achieving equity requires organizations to ensure that everyone has the tools and avenues needed to ensure their goals are completed. According to XYZ, if their ratio of inputs and outcomes is equal to the proportion of people around them, they will think they are treated fairly. Therefore, when other conditions are the same if a senior colleague gets a higher salary and his investment and experience are higher, the employee can accept it (Jones & Hill, 2012). If employees realize that their colleagues have received more rewards and recognition, and their work quality and workload are the same, they will be persuaded to be dissatisfied. This dissatisfaction may cause employees to lose motivation and make them feel worthless.

In her theory of Equity, Stacy Adams divides the benefits of employment and rewards into outputs and inputs. Benefits and rewards represent output and work effort to indicate input. Examples of benefits include hours of work for workers, job responsibilities of employees, employee loyalty, and employee flexibility, which require tasks to be completed in a short period of time. Outputs include wages, bonuses, bonuses, job promotions, pensions, annual leave, employer flexibility, positive job appraisals etc (Keith, 2012).
As per Adams, if the employee thinks that their work is not equal to the results of their work, they will lose motivation. The theory considers the idea that employees will try to equate their work outputs and inputs with their colleagues. Employees are likely to equate their work output and inputs with colleagues in other similar positions. According to the equity theory, if the comparison leads to low employee compensation, employees may be Al-Zawahreh and Al-Madi (2012) the theory says that people feel distressed when they realize they are in the inequitable relationship. As Verbeek and Penninx argue, there is, therefore, the requirement for management of the organization to observe the earnings of the workforces, have a conversation with their managers, conduct an evaluation of employee’s efficiency and look for means of giving intangible rewards (Knox, 2015)....
