Presentation assessment description You will develop a professional development plan with career objectives and an action plan. To assist in the development of your plan, you are required to seek feedback on your professional competency. You are required to keep a journal containing your refection on and explanation of the process of planning professional development. Presentation procedure Your presentation must cover the following points: 1) A professional development plan • Using the template provided in Appendix 1, develop a professional development plan. You should include: - Development opportunities such as training. Include opportunities to undertake within 1 year and within 5 years. - New skills you aim to acquire to achieve or maintain a competitive edge Assessment Task 2 BSBWOR501 Manage personal work priorities and professional development - Planned participation in networks or professional associations to enhance professional development - Timeframes in which to achieve development opportunities, new skills, participation in networks • Assess your personal knowledge and skills against competency standards such as enterprise specific competencies or nationally endorsed units of competency. • Seek written feedback from two people who are familiar with your work and can assess aspects of your professional competency such as employees, colleagues, clients or supervisors.17 2) A Journal • In your journal, describe the process you undertook to assess your professional competency. • In your journal, describe the process of seeking, receiving, analysing the feedback and applying the feedback to your professional development plan. • In your journal, you should discuss: - The process you undertook to identify, evaluate and select the development opportunities included in your professional development plan. Discuss learning styles and application to your planning - New skills you plan to acquire. Explain how acquiring these skills will provide a competitive edge. - Examples of networking you have undertaken or are currently undertaking to enhance knowledge, skills or work relationships Submit your professional development plan, feedback and journal to your assessor as per the specifications below. Ensure you keep a copy of all work submitted for your records. Assessment Specifications You must submit this assessment as instructed by trainer. Your Trainer will provide you with the date for submission. You must provide: • a professional development plan • written feedback from two people in a position to assess aspects of your professional competency • a journal. Assessment Outcomes • To complete the requirements of this Task students you must undertake and provide evidence as per Assessment Specification section above. • the assessment evidence submitted must be authentic, i.e is 100% of your own work and not plagiarized (Refer students to handbook for guidance on how to avoid plagiarism). If plagiarism is suspected, your Trainer/Assessor will use the RTO plagiarism software to authenticate the work. Disciplinary action occurs as a result of plagiarism. • Where the assessor determines that the work submitted by a student is not their own work, they will report this to the Chief Executive Officer. The CEO will investigate the issue and if plagiarism or cheating is confirmed, the student’s work will not be taken into account in determining the student’s competence in the relevant unit. Students are able to utilize Dalton College’s complaints and appeals procedure if they wish to contest the decision • If your Assessor does not receive sufficient evidence for this task, you will be provided the opportunity to resubmit. • If after resubmitting your Assessor still has not received sufficient evidence you will be required to re-enrol for the whole unit of competency. The job description is the sales executive for the Samsung electronics. The job role is to generate sales and mange a team of members who will be willing to work hard to achieve the organizational target. The organization’s business target is to be a leading electronics brand around the world and the global presence that it has over 43 countries should be increased and have a five year plan that will include the expansion of business by opening new outlets, hiring new trained workforce as to match the organizational objective.
The organizational policies are to hire willing workers, classify the job roles to employees, providing benefits to the employees based on their performance, maintaining employee conduct, attendance and punctuality. The organizational procedures are to market and promote the products, establishing POS, maintaining activities records and data, assisting support in any event, conducting training at regular basis.
Establishing Personal and Team Goals
Without goals, there will be no way through which targets can be achieved. There are certain personal and team goals.
Team goals are as follows—
· Managing the entire team and instructing people regarding their individual job role.
· Weekly and monthly review of their performance and goal setting.
· Analyzing the areas where the induction and training of the employees is necessary
Personal Goals are as follows—
· Need self-development for understanding the current trends of market for better performance
· Managing the team as to achieve the self-target that is being set for achieving the organizational goals
KPI to Measure Performance Related to Work Goals
There are measures that will help to measure the performance. The key performance indicators according to Toussaint et al. (2017) have discussed five steps, which are establishing goals and objectives, establishing critical success factors, establishing key performance indicators, collecting the measures and finally calculation of metrics from the measures. The performance can be maintained while having varied situations that will impose challenges is timely self-evaluation of the individual performance through the performance indicator table and that will help the employee to make corrections while not disrupting the work.
