Assignment 1This assignment is due on 26th August, 2019 at 11:00 pm. The assignment has a small component that must be completed on-line but a majority is a written report. Suggestions for the report structure are given in each section of the requirement. The report itself should be provided using the assignment report template, and submitted through the Turnitin link in your MySCU site. The maximum word count for the report is 1500 words (excluding headings, references, tables and appendices). This assignment is worth 5% of your overall mark. Please note that the assignment is due some weeks after the required materials are covered in the on-line sessions. Please do not leave the assignment to the last minute as you can start work on much of the assignment well before the due date. If you do require an extension for submission you must request this before the due date. Unless an extension is agreed, a late penalty will be applied. Each day late submission will apply a 5% penalty with a maximum of 4 days late. Submissions after four days will not be awarded any credit. Please note that a timestamp of 11:01 on the due date is considered one day late. This assignment covers the testing, configuration management and software tendering processes with each of these a separate Part of the assignment. Hints and clarifications may be published by your unit assessor in the unit forums.Important: You must submit your own solution with reasoning, however, we are perfectly happy for you to chat and discuss with previous students of this unit and your current classmates. The last bit is particularly important. What we are looking for is the thought process behind your designs and solutions as well as the actual solutions. Reports which do not give satisfactory reasons for their designs and solutions will be penalised.Part 1 – Testing (8 marks)There are two components to this part of the assignment. You are required to produce an acceptance test description and a detailed black-box test description. These two test types are related but you should consider them separately. The Acceptance test (4 marks)A university requires a system for student submissions of assignments. The system must accept submissions in a variety of formats, track student submission time and dates, provide for a word-count calculation and sends the submitter a receipt of submission when a file (or files) have been submitted. The system also provides a possibility of saving submissions temporarily as draft. The system requirements include:1. Check for the correct file formats32. Track student submission time and dates3. Calculate word-count that may notify the sender if it does not meet word limits4. Send a receipt of submission5. Allow draft submission of the assignmentOutline an acceptance test for the above system as described. In the study guide, this is steps 1, 2 and 3 of the acceptance test criteria. Most of step 1 is in the above system description but you can refine and expand if you wish.Remember that acceptance tests can be designed without access to the actual product. Detailed testing of the product is for the next part of this assignment (detailed black-box testing). You can enhance the requirements above if you wish or clarify them based on your own knowledge. If you do adjust the requirements your plan will be assessed against your new specification. You should be able to describe your acceptance test in 300-500 words (1-2 pages). The detailed black-box test plan (4 marks)A detailed black-box test plan does assume you a very familiar with the product you are testing. The aim here is to use your knowledge of testing to black-box test an existing piece of software in detail.

Part A: Testing
Introduction
Testing of any product is done before handing over it to the customer. The customer initially provides requirements and the output he expects from the system. Testing is done to confirm whether the product is according to the initial requirements.
Acceptance Test
As university wants to have a system which can accept student’s assignment file but it should follow some rules before accepting the files. The very first and basic test for any file submission is to check the format of the file. All the solution files must of same extension so that it becomes easier for the experts to check them. The solution files can be in format of pdf format only which means a student can only do the assignment in word file. As there is a deadline for any submission of solution so this system should be able to save time and date at which the student is submitting the solution. If the student submits the solution after the deadline then this date and time feature will help the expert in marking. The marks should include the word count factor. This system will check the word count at the time of submission of solution. The minimum and maximum word count is already fixed in this system for the files to be submitted. If the system finds the words in files are not according to the word count range then the file will not be accepted by the system and an alert box will be shown to the user regarding this. The user will be notified that the word count of the file is either less or more and need to change it to get the file submitted. If the file format and word count is correct then the student can submit the file and a confirmation receipt will be sent to the student which states that solution file is...
