Agencies that have a high turnover rate usually have other underlying problems. You obtain data on a random sample of public employees, some of which quit or transferred to another job in the last year. You believe those public employees that quit did so because they had bad perceptions of the agency’s management. Your dependent variable is whether or not an employee has quit or requested transfer to another job in the last year, coded as: 0 = haven’t left a job 1 = have left a job. Your independent variable is how they evaluate that agencies management, ranging from 5 being excellent, to 1 being horrible. Interpret and explain the results below. What do they mean? Explain your answer simply and understandable as if to someone with no statistical training.
