1.0 Introduction
With increasing influence of globalization on business environment, management of cultural differences in workplaces has become vital for maintaining equality in the workplace and eliminating discrimination based on age, gender, race, cultural values or beliefs. Cultural diversity in workplaces can be considered as the appreciation of differences within the individuals to create value for the organization. Workplace discrimination can be simply defined as the adverse actions of an employer against an individual employee or a group of employees based on their race, color or sex (Dhanani, Beus & Joseph, 2018).
Managing cultural diversities in the workplace has become an essential skill that managers need to focus on in order to create effective working relationships by promoting equality in the workplace. Supporting equality and managing the cultural differences within a culturally diverse workplace helps people to examine their beliefs and understand their origin. Eliminating cultural barriers is essential for managers within a culturally diverse workforce to help the organization in sustainable development and growth by building cross-cultural skills that can assist the business to foster innovation and creativity to gain a competitive edge while eliminating discrimination.
1.1 Research Aim
The research aims at determining the managerial skills necessary to eliminate workplace discrimination within a workplace and to support equality in an environment of multiculturalism to develop cross-cultural skills for the benefit of the business organization. It also aims to analyze the factors that have been contributing to discrimination within a workplace.
1.2 Research Objectives
Based on the research aim, the current study aims to achieve the research objectives mentioned below:

The major concern is, with organizations moving outside their countries of origin with the increasing influence of globalization on business environments, organizations now employ a culturally diverse workforce with people belonging to different age groups, gender, ethnicity, race, values and beliefs. It has therefore become essential for managers to ensure that the differences in the ideologies and opinions of the people can be utilized for the benefit of the business organization by fostering innovation and creativity within the organizational culture. The mangers aim to build strong relationship within the individuals with cultural differences to ensure that their productivities could be enhanced contributing towards the enhancement of organizational performance and thus helping the organization to gain competitive advantage. However, developing and maintaining multiculturalism is not an easy task, it requires efficient and effective managerial skills and strategies (Kalev, 2019).
1.4 Significance of the Research
The current research will help business organizations to determine the factors, which contribute to the cultural diversity existing within a workplace. The research will also help to determine the importance of a culturally diverse workforce and therefore will provide the organizations with several reasons for maintaining a culturally diverse workforce. The research shall help in determining the skills, strategies, leadership styles and behavioral traits that are essential for building strong relationships among individuals who belong to different cultural backgrounds (Marchiondo, Ran & Cortina, 2018). The research shall also help the researcher enhance his/her knowledge about the topic and develop their area of interest and expertise in one of the specific fields related to the topic of research. The research shall prove to be beneficial for academics as well, as this will help the learners develop a better understanding of cultural diversities within a workplace.

2.1 Introduction
Discrimination in the workplace is an increasing problem that is on the rise. There is an immediate need of tackling this problem and for that purpose; extensive research needs to be carried out regarding this very topic (Colella & King, 2018). Number of companies are expanding their branches worldwide and employing people from various countries. This means that the word places are becoming filled with people belonging to various nationalities cultures and religions. Under such a condition discrimination because of nationality color gender or any other factor can be a very significant damage to the flow of work in the organization. Therefore, research needs to be carried out on this topic and this article deal with the various forms of research that have been carried out and are being proven used for solving the problem of discrimination in a workplace.
2.2 Factors contributing to discrimination in a workplace
The factors that contribute to discrimination in the workplace are the very factors that are responsible for discrimination among human beings in general. Differences that have prepared among human beings because of caste color religion and gender play a very important role even in the workplace and therefore create discrimination among individuals. A number of social evils have crept in the mindsets of people, which have created a sense of superiority and inferiority among the people based on their place of origin and physical aspects. These are the main reasons for discriminations that take place in a workplace and the lack of moral education in individuals is also a leading cause (Roehling, Choi & Roehling, 2019). These factors can be broadly categorized into differences of nationality culture religion caste and gender. The discriminatory practices that have originated based on nationality and religion are mainly because of narrow mindset of individuals and the sense of superiority and patriarchy that have been a common practice in the society for a long time is a basic factor for discrimination based on gender. With these leading factors, the problem of discrimination among the people in a workplace has been on the rise.
2.3 Significance of equality within a workplace
Having equality in a workplace is necessary to carry on the regular flow of work and prohibited the practice of discrimination within the workplace.
