Perform research in the University library using at least 8–10 relevant peer-reviewed academic or professional journal articles that were published within the past 5 years, and complete the following to prepare your report:



  • Analyze the ethics of the case from each end of the ethical spectrum (ultraconservative to ultraliberal) from the perspective of 3 of the following stakeholders:

e legal regulation of abortion using gestational age, length of pregnancy, and concern of the mother are relatively under-authorized from the view of human rights. There remains a constant tussle between the political, personal, and power regarding these ethical issues of human life.
Legal policy and role of healthcare providers
Different studies have been conducted to focus on the laws of late abortion and struggles have been present in the context of health, mortality, and justice while considering the issue. The health of the mother is important while judging a late abortion as different health conditions impose the occurrence of abortion. The health conditions may include eclampsia, a fatal condition leading to either early delivery or late abortion. Late abortion is related to an increased risk of the mother's mortality. On the other hand, some physical conditions may predispose fatality if a late abortion is ignored. Justice should be viewed from the point of the mother. If the mother can accept an abortion due to her physical state then justice can be obtained easily. Regarding the health of the mother and the fetus, some physical conditions impose a late abortion unless fatality can occur to the mother. Eclampsia is one such condition where chronic hypertension may result in significant morbidity or even mortality to the mother. The only way out physicians can offer to the patient is an early delivery using a Caesarian section. However, early delivery may not also save the child or the mother. Moreover, it remains difficult for the lower economic parents to bear a premature child in the incubator for 3-4 weeks. In such situations, the doctors assess risk and benefits, and depending on the analysis of risk versus benefits they either decide an early delivery or a late abortion. There are strict laws based on which the individualized risk-benefit analysis should be done.
