Perkins is Australia's second richest woman as of 2021. In her early years, Perkins also worked as a private instructor for students studying graphic design. She saw how difficult it was for students to master design tools like Adobe Photoshop, and how it took them a semester at university to grasp the basics of these complicated design applications. It seemed to Perkins that simplifying the design process might be a lucrative commercial opportunity. In her mind, she wanted to create a design platform that did not require any technological expertise on her part. To pursue her first business venture with Obrecht, Fusion Books, she left out of college at the age of 19 (Stewart & Hooper, 2019).

Perkins is my number one businessperson due to the discussion about sex lopsidedness in the innovation area and among new companies, with one out of each four new companies being set up by a woman. Perkins is one of only 2% of adventure-sponsored organization CEOs that is a woman. At the point when gotten some information about sex in the media, she has stayed quiet, expressing that she needs to focus on "what she can manage."Canva currently has a 41% female portrayal, which is significantly higher
than the business normal of 28%, because of Perkins' principles that annihilate inclination in the selecting system. These attributes consolidate to make her the best female businessperson in the innovation area.
