Computer-Aided Software Engineering Tools provide automated assistance for software development. For the project at hand, online registration software for college, the CASE Tools such as diagramming tools, computer display and report generation tools and central repository tools shall be helpful in accomplishing the goals. The three CASE Tools are discussed in the following sections. They will automate the software development lifecycle for registration system and help the intern to develop the system easily. Diagramming tools available freely like Draw.io and Lucid Chart are discussed. The basic controls that the registration system should have in order to make it easy for the students to register courses at college are outlined along with security measures that should be included in the system.
Diagramming Tools
This tool shall allow the intern to create detailed diagrams like flowcharts, etc using the requirements of the registration system of the college. Diagramming tools include templates for building various diagrams as well as enable users to create diagrams from scratch as well. Examples: Lucid chart, Draw.io, Microsoft Visio, SmartDraw, etc.
