Running Head: GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING1 GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING 2 Government Contracting Rodney Green American Military University Professor Harper Thesis Statement Fiscal and monetary policies of the US government have a major impact on the pricing of the government contracts. Government adjusts its spending and taxes according to the fiscal policy and manages supplies along with controlling the use of credits according to the monetary policy. What research question led me to this thesis statement? The research question leading to this thesis statement is: What is the impact of pricing of government contracts on the economic growth of United States while considering the fiscal and monetary policies of the US government? How do these contracts may improve the economy’s rate of growth? What is the purpose in writing this paper? I have been working in an infrastructure development company taking government contracts for the infrastructural development in United States from a long time and have a deep knowledge of the pricing of these contracts in line with the fiscal and monetary policies of the government (Cameron, 2015). This paper shall help me highlight the role of fiscal and monetary policies while deciding the prices of the government contacts so that they may add to the overall growth of the US economy. This paper shall help to enhance the knowledge of the readers regarding the framing of government contracts in United States. What do I already know about my topic? What are my readers’ feelings towards the topic? Most of my classmates must already be aware about the federal policies of the US government particularly the fiscal and the monetary policies of the government. However, they must not be aware of the impact these policies have on the pricing of the government contracts. This may also affect the quotations, which the contractors might file in order to take the contract. This topic can be interesting for the readers and may attract them as they will be able to understand the pricing of the government contracts. What do my readers need to know to understand my point? In order to develop a better understanding of the point I am trying to present it is important that the readers must have the basic knowledge of the federal policies of the US government particularly the fiscal and the monetary policies. Knowing these two policies of the government it makes easy to understand the spending of the government on these contracts as well as enhancing the knowledge about the control of credits the government has while releasing government contracts to the contracting agencies (Litman, 2017). I will help the readers enrich their knowledge about the impact of these policies on government contacts leading to the overall growth of the economy of the United States. What information do I need to research and add to my paper? The information which I need to research and to my paper is the regarding the average amount the government likes to spend on its government contracts and the credits which the government may provide to the contracting agencies based on the current fiscal and monetary policies of the US government. I would also like to add information regarding the association between the framing the government contracts considering pricing and the impact they may have on the economic development of US.
