Assignment Objectives UNIT 1

Differentiate between the demands of legal policies, ethical issues with relevance to the needs of the provider and patient.

(1)
Examination of Course Objectives

Review the Terminal Course Objectives, accessed by clicking on the Course Information tab at the top of your screen, scrolling down to the Course Objectives, and then selecting View class objectives. How will accomplishing these objectives support your success in management? What risks or challenges might a manager encounter if they have not mastered these objectives? Explain.

(2) Course Learning Content and Assignments

Review the Assignments for this course, accessed by clicking on the Assignment tab at the top of your screen, and then select each Unit# - Assignment, reviewing the description, type, and deliverables. What questions do you have about these assignments in Units 1–4? What questions do you have about the overarching Unit 5 assignment? Although it is not due until the end of the class, it is important that you begin planning for this project early in the course. What are your initial thoughts about how you will approach this assignment? Explain.

(3)
Course Comprehensive Project

Collaboration in a business environment is a best practice that leverages the collective knowledge of the team assembled. Peer evaluation and support, provided in the spirit of continuous improvement and organizational success, result in higher quality deliverables than generally possible by the efforts of an individual. Please describe the process you plan to use to conduct research, identify findings, and develop the comprehensive project that is due in Unit 5, and present a preliminary outline indicating how you intend to organize the project deliverable.

(4)
Peer Review

Post an executive summary of your comprehensive project in the body of a post in this discussion (please do not use attachments). An executive summary is a one-page document that outlines the purpose, process, findings, discussion, and findings of a report submitted to management. Chief executive officers (CEOs) often read and assess an executive summary before deciding to read the entire report, so this must be a high-quality narrative that demonstrates the significance of the work undertaken, the objectivity of research and analysis underpinning the report, and the credibility of the resulting conclusions.

Please review the executive summaries of other students, providing an objective assessment and constructive feedback that will help strengthen the effectiveness of their efforts and the quality of the finished report.

(5)
Competencies and Knowledge

What competencies were you able to develop in researching and writing the course comprehensive project? How did you leverage knowledge gained in the intellipath assignments (Units 1– 4) in completing the comprehensive project? How will these competencies and knowledge support your career advancement in management?

Introduction
In the last century, the developmental revolution in the healthcare sector has imposed some unavoidable scenarios to the healthcare providers and recipients. The healthcare practices have often been halted by many of the ethical and illegal issues faced by the providers or the patients. There are fundamental differences between the ethical and legal concepts in the medical science, hence, these practices should be adopted with their background in terms of legal as well as ethical perspectives.
Question 1 (Review of terminal course objective)
The legal and ethical practices differ in a number of different scenarios. The examples of such scenarios may include late abortion, resuscitation of child, emergency services available at the vaccination centre, and others. Different studies have been conducted to focus on the laws of late abortion and struggles have been present in the context of health, mortality, and justice while considering the issue (Bertier et al., 2016). The health of the mother is important while judging a late abortion as different health conditions impose the occurrence of abortion. The health conditions may include eclampsia, a fatal condition leading to either early delivery or late abortion. Late abortion is related to an increased risk of the mother's mortality. On the other hand, some physical conditions may predispose fatality if a late abortion is ignored. Justice should be viewed from the point of the mother (GLASGOW, 2019). If the mother can accept an abortion due to her physical state then justice can be obtained easily. Regarding resuscitation of the child, the parents often demand to resuscitate the premature neonates. There are no legal boundaries for the doctors if they do not resuscitate them as resuscitation is indicated for the neonates...
