One goal of the human resource department is to hire employees that will be as productive as possible, which in turn leads to more revenue and the success of an organization.


We see challenges in healthcare such as being properly staffed to care for the patient load, keeping morale high, keeping the budget down, and making sure the employee is properly trained and oriented, to name just a few.

Organizational restructuring or lowering of the staff in the health care organizations has impacted the quality of patient care. The inadequate nursing staff is the result of cost cutting initiatives being made in the health care industry (Mukkelli, 2015) and this has disrupted the quality of the patient’s care. The reduction in the hospital personnel resulted in the reduced the labor cost but raised concern about the effects of staffing and the quality of services to be delivered.
