For instance, you may say that you are pretty sure your average commute time is between 25-30 minutes, or you are fairly confident that between 60-65% of the population love dogs. Collect some data to see how well your intuition is working. First, does your sample data meet all assumptions necessary to construct the confidence interval of the type you need? A confidence interval expresses the degree of uncertainty associated with a sample statistic, or study estimate. It tells a story of the study in characteristics and parameters of a population. For our discussion this week, I chose to do temperature. In the healthcare, setting the temperature is taken as a part of the vital signs. The average temperature level should be between 80-100. The temperature is used to aid in diagnosing medical conditions. I obtained the temperatures on some of patients. The temperatures were:
