1. What is quality management theory?
Quality management theory is a set of principles and techniques used to ensure that a product or service meets or exceeds customer requirements and expectations. It involves the entire process of creating, producing, and delivering a product or service, and includes elements such as planning, design, quality control, and continuous improvement
2. What are the standards for quality management that apply to your organisation or business industry when planning project quality?
The most widely-used standards for quality management in project planning are ISO 9001 and PMBOK. ISO 9001 is a global standard that provides a framework for quality management systems, while PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) is a guide for project management best practices.
3. List and describe 3 quality assurance and control techniques, key tools and methodologies.
Three quality assurance and control techniques include:
Inspection: This involves a systematic examination of a product or service to ensure that it meets the required specifications.
Statistical process control (SPC): This involves using statistical methods to monitor and control a process to ensure that it is operating within acceptable limits.
Design of experiments (DOE): This is a method used to determine the relationship between factors that affect a process and the output of that process.
