Business Processes
Modern Baking Company is an Australian bakery company which produces pasties, pies, as well as cakes for sale in South Australia, New South Wales and in Victoria. Modern Baking Company is a company that produces baked goods and sells them to supermarkets and di
fferentiated chains (Modern Baking Co, 2018). The company has a large number of customers all over the world. Modern Baking Company has production units, sales, marketing, finance, and human resources management. Supply chain management involves the purchase of raw materials from other companies that supply products for the production of baked products. The production unit is responsible for the production of bakery products, inventory, and logistics storage products and delivers where needed. On the other hand, HR Management hires and recruits the human resources needed by the company. The various departments of the company cooperate with each other. If a department is affected, it will tamper with the entire goal of Modern Baking. The role of the baker is very important, especially in the art of cooking. The baker created different types of items, and the baker's duties and responsibilities far exceeded the oven. The baker is responsible for making all kinds of bread, pastries and other baked goods. One of the great advantages of bakers is that they can work in different environments, ranging from small personal or home-based bakeries to industrial operations in large corporate establishments, which can have many different sizes. Baker's role is different from one job to another. For instance, a baker employed by a small, local bakery typically does most of the work independently or as a part of a team that is well-knit. In a small setting, Baker will also work primarily for handling the production of baked goods through manual operations or hands (Afshari-Jouybari and Farahnaky, 2011). In a large industrial scale bakery, it is usually common to cooperate to be able to produce large amounts of baked goods in general. In such a scenario, the bakers will work very little by hand and therefore will rely on machinery to produce baked products at large, for example during the preparation phase of production (Modern Baking Co, 2018). Baker has many special duties that he must follow to make his baking a successful process. Baker's first assignment is to prepare all the baked goods for sale in a bakery, store or a specialty shop. This process involves preparation, baking, as well as wrapping of goods so that they are ready to go to the door for sale. Therefore, baker fruits, concoct fillings, and bake bread and cut into pastries to ensure that the final product comes out fantastic (Motlaq and Albwardi, 2018). In addition, it is the responsibility of ordering the baker's essential baking supplies. In addition, a baker needs to do a good research, which helps to identify new recipes, as well as the secret which can be used to make it more efficient and effective in the baking process. Eventually, a baker needs to be involved in the proper planning process to ensure adequate orchestra of things that should be baked at a particular time and supplies which should be made available to the public. This action becomes especially compulsory when the baker needs to fill a specific customer order (Modern Baking Co, 2018).
Business Requirements
Indispensable Processes of Modern Baking Company
As mentioned in the previous section, every process of the bakery business is important and mandatory. However, there are several core business processes in the bakery, including production, human resource management, and accounts. However, an account is the most important process for any business because it functions as a fuel for all other business processes. In the past few years, Modern Baking Company business has grown significantly. However, the business is currently experiencing account issues. The business focuses on the accounting team, which involves accounting experts responsible for business bookkeeping and other matters. However, the account cannot help the decision and does not contribute to the activities involved. As a result, the company has damaged some of its key accounts because it failed to offer its products at competitive prices. Now, people realize that businesses need more information, and that information will be handled smoothly in the next few years. These different types of information are expected to come from baking business processes and market research. Based on this information, the company will be in a strategic decision-making position, which will help to improve the next level of business success (Modern Baking Co, 2018). The business needs to provide an accounting information system for its business. For this purpose, investment in available accounting software is required, and the business requirements of the bakery include an account that enhances the business. Second, another process involves integrating all of the business's processes and accounting systems to better shape the decision-making process. Third, invest in some of the available software and customize it according to the bakery's business processes. Finally, the fourth requirement relates to the implementation of ERP and AIS for the bakery business. The enterprise resource planning system will greatly help ensure the integration of business processes and provide a better platform for accounting information systems (AIS).
Outcomes required from processes to achieve business objectives
The bakery business needs specific key outputs of the core business processes to ensure better performance in the market. First, the business needs information from the business process. This information consists of different types of information, such as transaction information and operational information, which are often important to ensure that decisions are made. Accounting functions in the enterprise are functions that connect to all other business processes. Therefore, to get more information from the accounting process, it will require information from different business processes that exist in the bakery business (Baxter and Hunton, 2011). This will involve information such as dealing with suppliers, sales, inventory, raw material costs, possible profits, labor costs and costs. All of this information is essential to determine the price of a competitive product. Other information that is needed in the business process is the employee payroll. In order to obtain this different information from different business processes, it is necessary to integrate all business processes and different systems for business processes. Better integration of business processes provides better compatibility and faster business processes. Ultimately, this integration helps to make more income for the bakery (Şen and Baraçlı, 2010). The accounting information system implemented through enterprise resource planning or integrated into enterprise resource planning provides a business structure for...
