Being a professional mediator requires reflecting on your past conflicts and learning from them. Learning how we deal with conflict can make us better mediators and behave in a more ethical and neutral manner, particularly when mediating similar disputes. For this report, you are required to:  Identify a past conflict you have experienced in the past and describe the cause of the conflict and how it was manifested  Evaluate how your conflict resolution strategies were effective/ineffective  Explain how mediation and one other conflict management approach would have been appropriate/inappropriate for resolving this conflict  Identify and describe three ways in which your conflict could have been mediated to achieve a more positive outcome  Describe how you would mediate such a similar dispute, explaining your role in the process and the steps you would need to take to remain neutral and follow ethical guidelines. When writing, be sure to include an introduction which provides a background, thesis and outline. You will also need a conclusion which summarises the key points, limitations of your argument and provide future recommendations. When preparing please be sure to make specific references to mediation/conflict theories and techniques and include in-text references. A reference list for those references needs to be included at the end of your report. Please see the Academic Guide for more information on in-text referencing and using reference lists.

esolution in workplace
Introduction
A conflict arises when there is a lack of understanding between colleagues working in a healthcare setting for example between a physician and a nurse while operating on a patient, and providing less efficient care. The other reason is not providing the appropriate care to the patient in the given time period frame (Cullati et al., 2019). If a healthcare doctor or surgeon has lesser experience in treating a patient then there is more chance of the occurrence of a work-related conflict (Cullati et al., 2019).
A misunderstanding between different colleagues is a cause of concern and gives rise to conflict. For example, if two people are working together on a single project and if one of them is strong and performs the tasks very efficiently whereas the other person is lazy and careless and does not perform the task properly then there is a chance of the occurrence of a conflict and argument between the two colleagues (Dingwall et al., 2022).
Conflicts affect the behaviour of the colleagues working in an organisation and cause a decrease in the performance and the efficiency of the people performing a specific task in a project. One essential workplace conflict that I want to discuss is the strike by the employees due to work dispute problems in a company. An important concern is this study is whether a union voice is effective in resolving a conflict, whether there should be a direct interaction between the workers and the manager? Another concern is that whether the employees who face conflict issues should resign to prevent the formation of the union groups? (Van Gramberg et al., 2019).
