Introduction
Coffeeville Australia has taken certain strategic decision, w
hich they are going to implement to reconsider their target market and the strategy in order to attract new customers to their café shop. The negative results and also a decreased profit over the past few months have created the necessity to implement the changes and also the new approaches to introduce in order to revamp the sales in all of their counters. Based on the strategic plan, Coffeeville has decided to offer new special meal combos, online promotions and the take away system for the customer. The strategy is also to introduce updated communication plan in order to understand the customers requirements, optimise time and also to offer necessary information’s for delivering ideal services to the customers.
Strategic Action Plan
Strategic action plan is the purpose and goals that have been outlined during the preparation of the strategic plan, and further that details are turned into the action (Teixeria and Junior, 2019). The strategic action plan of Coffeeville is as follows:
Reduce prices for foods: Based on the strategic plan the action that needed to be implemented is that Coffeeville opted to reduce the prices of their food. The selling price for the in-store and the catering food menu items will be reduced significantly, however, the beverage prices will remain the same.
Number of food items will be decreased, especially those foods which require costly ingredients and also longer preparation time, which also consumes a lot of cost. Similarly, the staff hours to be reduced significantly in the short term for reflecting the current decreased level of sales.
Aim:
1. To match with the price level of the closest competitor
2. To increase the number of items sold on daily basis per day minimum of 5% with a goal of attaining 15% across all the available food categories and hot beverages also
3. To reduce the total expenses to 75% of the total income
Data of Business Performance:
1. The cost of goods for the food incurred is currently at the 31% of the total income
2. Cost of the goods for the beverage incurred is 19% of the total income
3. The cost of food and beverages has increased by 3-4% in the last 12-18 month’s time frame
4. The total expenses are ranging between 77-83% of the total income earned
