In this
assignment
you will be using the knowledge obtained from the lecture and the skills that you have learned from the tutorials to build a Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR) application. You can pick one of the following themes to build your interface application in:

1) Education

2) Health

3) Tourism

4) Scientific research

5) Art

6) Remote collaboration

7) Entertainment

You can choose a combination of different themes. A key component of the assessment is on a design of the interface of the application such as how users interact
within
the application. Another key component is on a technical development of this assessment; it should not be aimed at the level of having a complete proof-of-concept application, but rather at the level of demonstrating some part(s) of the complete application. The full scope of the complete application can then be described in the report write-up.

For example, if you were to design and develop a virtual classroom platform that consists of multiple classrooms, players and a large set of the knowledge subjects (books), you would then, for this assessment task for example, only need to design & develop a single virtual classroom for a single player with a small set of knowledge subjects with all the interaction that are suitably designed for that classroom. A complete concept of the designed virtual classrooms with different educational subjects is described in the report.

KIT 208/508 Assessment Task 2 Spring, 2017 Due Date: Monday December 4, 2017 -11:55pm on MyLO Weighting: 20% Task Length: approximately 1,000 words In this assignment you will be using the knowledge obtained from the lecture and the skills that you have learned from the tutorials to build a Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR) application. You can pick one of the following themes to build your interface application in: 1) Education 2) Health 3) Tourism 4) Scientific research 5) Art 6) Remote collaboration 7) Entertainment You can choose a combination of different themes. Software: your Unity build to your specific chosen platform · PC with Oculus Rift or Vuforia · Android with AR Core or Vuforia · Note: with Vuforia, there are two platform options 2. A short report (2-3 pages), containing the following sections: a) Front page: Detail: Name, Student ID, Title of your application b) Screen capture of the application (no larger than 1/4 page) c) Description of the application · What is it? What theme(s) does it fit in? · What are the significances of the application in the context of your theme? (i.e. why your application is needed?) d) Interaction Design a) What are the interactions in your application? b) Why are they (chosen interaction and chosen interface technology) relevant (needed) to your application? Justification. e) Descriptions of 3D Models (both imported and created) f) References   KIT208_508_Lecture_Assessment Task 2.pptx KIT 208/508 Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality Technology Spring 2017, Assessment Task 2 Dr. Winyu Chinthammit Human Interface Technology Laboratory Australia (HIT Lab) School of Engineering & ICT 2017 Assessment Task 2 §  In this assignment you will be using the knowledge obtained from the lecture and the skills that you have learned from the tutorials to build a Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR) application.
