Introduction
Emotional Quotient or EQ is important for the comprehension of the emotions and personal traits of oneself. It is important for managing personal emotions required for motivating oneself and establishing positive interactions in the society. Emotional Quotient is an important step for identifying the true potentials (Dewi & Ramantha, 2019). EQ has a wide range of benefits in the life of a person. For achieving success in personal and professional spheres, the value of EQ is important. This report discusses the impact of EQ on personal life, the effects of emotional factors and cultural diversity on the workplace.
Definition of EQ and its Shortcomings
The capability of identifying, understanding and managing the emotions in ourselves as well as in other people is known as Emotional Quotient. It is an important step for identifying the true potentials in a person. EQ has a wide range of benefits. It consists of four pillars. Self-awareness is important for understanding the values and potential in oneself. Self-management is necessary for controlling and managing emotions (Zareian & Imani, 2018). Social Awareness is necessary for identifying the emotion factors that are concerned with society. Relationship Management is important in maintaining a balance between our personal goals and our relationships.
Emotional Quotient can be manipulative for people who are more emotional. It prevents people from using their own comprehensive skills to think (Davis & Wigelsworth, 2018). Other people can take advantage of it for their own benefit. It can make people with high emotional quotient more open for everyone. It is often not taken seriously. Emotional Quotient is a learned experience and it often takes a long time to enhance the skills.

Identification of Own EQ
My stressors are emotions related to self-awareness. I am often stressed or disrupted by impulses, which are not under my control. I feel tense while dealing with high profile customers and my emotional imbalance makes me feel extremely unconfident.
Emotional fluctuations are my biggest weakness. I face difficulties in understanding how my emotional parameters are triggering my behaviour. I cannot make accurate self-assessment and face difficulty in evaluation of my personal strengths and weaknesses. My self-esteem is lower than it is supposed to be and I often make wrong life decisions. I try to learn from my experiences and make better decisions...
