Introduction
Human resources (HR) are considered as the backbone of the organisation. The HR d
epartment is responsible for hiring efficient and skilled people in the organisation as to maintain the work culture and the competitive aspect of the organisation. The HR plays a crucial role in developing, reinforcing and bringing changes in the culture of the organisation through their job roles. The HR looks after the pay package, performance management, recruitment, training and development, reinforcing the values of the business and many more responsibilities that are being played by HR. In this assignment, a detailed discussion will be made on the organisational culture, the motivational factors and the individual differences that exist in the organisation.
Organisational Culture
Organisational Culture can be defined as the underlying beliefs of the organisation, based on which the attitude, behaviour, values, norms and the expectations that the employees have in common. Arditi, Nayak and Damci (2017) have discussed that every organisation culture is based on certain value and norms. These values are:
· Sensitivity to the needs of customers and employees
· The interest of the employees in generating new business ideas
· The willingness to take risks in work
· The importance of placing the value on people
· The open mind to accept and listen to the communication and suggestion from others
· A friendly nature and attitude among employees towards each other
These core organisational values helps in achieving the healthy work environment in the organisation. Every organisation is based on the core ethics of honesty and delivery of the best of the services to the customers. Further, the core ethical values will ensure that the employee’s protection of rights in the organisation will be well preserved. Along with the ethics, the mutual respect is also one of the min values, on which the company must focus. The sense of respect motivates the employees to go extra edge to achieve the organisational goals. This will provide them with a sense of innovative mindset, which will help in accomplishing the goals, which is a drive to move ahead.
The two organisations, Bamboo HR and Apple are one of the best examples where the best of the organisational culture is showcased. In both the organisations, the focus of the HR is to hire the best employees for their organisation as to perform in an efficient manner. Both the organisations focuses on small group of teams, however they must be the best or have the potential to be the best in the field as both the organisation; mainly Apple is absolutely focused on the best of product and services.
