Discussion 1 - Identify all stakeholders in this ecosystem and their individual goals
The case study was very interesting and insightful exemplifying the importance of stakeholders in order to materialise the overall objective of the business. As it was evident from the case, Global Logistics - Ports, terminals, agents, VTS, freight forwards and port services. However, the primary stakeholders were senior leaders, employees and customers. There were only four employees in the company namely - Carlos Fernandez, Murray Johnson, Reggie Finch and Captain Anders Haraldson. Carlos is the Chief Operating Officer, whose goal is to manage day to day activities and ensure that business runs smoothly. On the other hand, Murray Johnson is recently hired employees of company whose goal is to offer the maritime shipping data such that customers of the company Global Logistic have real-time information on where their package is located as well as perform on-time tracking of the package.
