Tonight they have to take the two boys, Jason and Kyle, to a baseball game and their daughter, Miranda, to karate practice. They both leave work a bit early to allow time to take the family to the local fast-food drive-through. Everyone orders “supersize.” Jayne drops the boys off at the baseball game and drives the van to karate practice with Miranda. Jayne and Miranda return to the baseball game as the coach is giving the winning players candy bars, soda, and chips. The family leaves for home, and on the way, Miranda asks the boys to share their candy and chips. Mom ponders the nutritional value of the evening’s meal, activities and snacks. Her husband was involved in the pain assessment as well and was interviewed separately by team members. At the end of the daylong session, Brenda and her husband met with the team, who discussed their findings and detailed their treatment plan. Case Study Question 3 1.
