The Rick’s Case
Since, Rick was a victim of the inter-parental violence, and also, he received physical and mental abuse, however, it is completely unjust to blame him for everything that he did. Since, he did not receive any kind of proper counselling, and also, he did not undergo any kind of mental therapy session, the mental trauma is expected to last in his mind. However, it can also be not acceptable that he and walk away free after physically abusing his wife and his child, while endangering their life. Therefore, as a Social Worker, I would have arranged a mental counseling session for Rick in order to help him get out of the trauma, and also ensure that he did not get involved into any such act in future (Nguyen-Feng et al.).
