Choose a peer-reviewed journal article on any topic relating to your major, and write a criticalanalysis of it. “Analysis” means that you are required to look closely at the article to understandhow it works. If so, do they recognize them?• What sort of language and imagery does the author use?• What conclusions do they reach, and how reliable are they?Papers receiving an A grade will exhibit a high quality of critical analysis. They will be writtenin a register appropriate to an academic paper, and will be clearly expressed and readable. Yourargument will be rooted in close reading of your chosen article, and will develop smoothly andlogically. The paper will be formatted correctly. Grammatical and mechanical errors will beeither very few or absent.
