    ‘The Scream’ is the artistic composition of the Norwegian Expressionist artist Edvard Munch. The painting is known to be dated in the year 1893. The original German title of the work is known as ‘Der Schrei der Natur’ or ‘The Scream of Nature’. The Norwegian title for the same painting is called ‘Skrik’ or Shriek. According to Friedlaender and Friedlaender, the dimensions of the painting can be observed to be 91 cm x 73.5 cm. There are several versions of 'The Scream'. There are two versions in paint, two versions in pastels as well as one version in lithograph stone.
