Introduction
In any type of business activity there will be high possibility of sudden challenges. These challenges might disrupt their operation and also create challenges with their external stakeholders, such as customers, partners and many more. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that the entire operation is properly managed and it is also ensured that whatever the services and products delivered are aligned with the real value of the business. In this report the discussion is done for the Global Green Books company which is facing strategic issues in managing their employees, which is leading to the unsatisfied client. The report is based on the identification of problem areas and solving the issues by managing employees, and ensuring that they are effective in delivering their work properly in the project.
Key Competencies Required by Supervisor in Managing the Team’s Performance
Managing team is one of the most crucial tasks that is to be performed by the manager or supervisor. In order to manage the performance of the team the manager or supervisors required to have certain key competencies. As discussed by Gruden and Stare (2018) that competencies can be used as the appraisal process in order to describe the major skills sets, abilities and the attributes that the staff members required to perform their job in successful manner. Therefore, the project manager of the Global Green Books, Samantha required to have certain key competencies in order to properly manage the employee’s performance.
1. Communication: The first key competency skills required by the supervisor is communication skills, which is the ability to use the listening techniques and the use of nonverbal strategies in order to improve the conversation. With the proper communication skill will allow Samantha to speak with the team members with impactful statement, whether it is a brief dialogue or updating the team regarding the job they require to perform.
