This is the first of four assignments which, as a whole, will cover all aspects of the project life cycle relevant to your selected project. You have been selected to be the project manager (for a project of your choice). The project that you decide to use should meet the key criteria of a project:

Has a beginning and an end.

Results in something being delivered to someone.

Requires a series of activities that must be done to complete the project.

Requires resources (e.g., people, materials) to complete the work.

Provide a brief summary of your chosen project.

Describe at least three project goals and three project objectives.

Identify the key customer(s) and at least two stakeholders for your project. Remember, you are delivering the project to your customer(s), however the stakeholders have a vested interest in your project.

Describe at least three key milestones and/or deliverables for your project.

Describe a high-level timeline that includes key tasks and deadlines.

Estimate the project’s overall costs and any key staffing and non-staffing resources needed.

Use at least three quality resources in this assignment.Note: Wikipedia and similar websites do not qualify as quality resources.

Project brief: 
“Funville” is a party decoration store, which will be providing best quality party decoration items to its customers at reasonable prices. All kind of decoration items (balloons, candles, sashes, table accessories, party eye glasses, return gifts etc.) will be available at store for all kind of event (birthday party, marriage anniversary, Halloween, Christmas, bachelorette party, baby shower etc.).A small website will also be needed for the business to grow exponentially. Any local place where such kind of stores aren’t working will be chosen for this project. People of that particular place can visit the store and buy the desired items and also they can visit our local website and contact us to know about the availability of items before they visit the store. 
Project goals are listed below: 
· Offer a great service to customers and make them pleased by their shopping experience.
· Establish business as reasonably priced, full line, service centre for party decoration items and accessories.
· Expand business to a wider area in longer term.
Project objectives are listed below:
· Offer widest range of products and service to customers at reasonable prices.
· Utilise customers’ feedback and equip the store with required tools/technology that help to measure and meet the customers' need.
· Offer consistent high quality and great service so that we can be trusted everyday by customers.
· Design store to give the customer a feel of excitement and festive atmosphere.
Key customers for this project are:
· People celebrating birthdays and marriage anniversaries.
· Couple celebrating valentine day.
· People celebrating Christmas, Halloween and other festivals.
· Young people organising parties like prom night.
· People organising parties for occasions like gender reveal and baby shower.
There are still many occasions when people organise events like bachelorette party and many others for which they need party decoration items. Such party store run on peak on seasonal events like Halloween, Christmas and other festive events. So we have to identify such events also and prepare accordingly to serve the people efficiently.
Key stakeholders for this project are:
· Business owner: Business owners are the main stakeholder in this project, as any decision made will lead the business to profit or loss and business owner will be most affected by any kind of profit and loss. If business is making huge profit business owner will get major chunk of profit and if it’s making loss then they will be the worst effected people.
· Team members: Team members or employees are another type of key stakeholders in this project. Their performances will decide the fate of project and on the other hand success of project will reward them and failure of project may impact them as they can lose their jobs or can face salary-cut.
