Marcus,
Leaders that fail to understand the importance of their number one resource, people might prove difficult to require them to change their behavior. In your comments you stated, "To ensure that open participation is encouraged, it is required that Louisa listens actively to the staff. If the team starts feeling that she believes in them and is always eager to hear them, they will grow and make decisions, which will bring success to the restaurant's reputation. In addition, she has to encourage her staff to think innovatively and appreciate the workable alternatives."
If she has been unable to appreciate the ideas of the staff how will she learn to encourage innovation? Although the concept seems like it might help, implementation may prove more difficult so what can we do to modify Luisa's behavior?
