If you read any of their reports and commitments, it exudes the vibe of a company that is serious about issues of sustainability.


However, please read this report of how companies like Nestle areactivelyparticipating in programs that make the global population unhealthier. Please read the report carefully. It repeatedly references Nestle, though we could be talking about other food companies as well, such as the EuropeanUnilever, the US-based Pepsico, or a number of others.

Sustainability is defined as the process of creating awareness within the society and at the same time ensuring that it aims to uplift the standards of the society. In this consideration, Nestle claims that they have allowed the countries to grow sustainably wherever they operate in the market. However, in this case, Nestle has been found to prefer its profitability to that of its sustainability (Eugenio, Rodrigues & Goncalves, 2020). It may therefore be stated that Nestle performs window dressing stating that they prefer sustainability to profits. However, this has not been the case with Nestle.
The company has been forced to adapt to the market through the provision of products that are high in calories and result in higher levels of fats and obesity.
